BLACKLIGHT PERFORMANCE
Terms & Conditions
Last updated: 14 October 2026
1. Operator, contact and scope
This website is operated by black light performance S.L., trading as Blacklight Performance, at Avenida Andasol s/n, Marbella 29604, Málaga, Spain. The website is https://blacklightperformance.eu and our customer-service email is [email protected]. These terms cover use of the website, customer accounts, online purchases and the process for agreeing motorcycle workshop work. Our Privacy Policy separately explains personal-data processing, Google sign-in, analytics and your privacy rights.
Read these terms and the relevant product, checkout or written service information before making a commitment. Information specific to an order, including the item, price, delivery charge and agreed scope, forms part of that transaction. Mandatory legal rights prevail over any conflicting provision. Nothing in these terms excludes rights that cannot lawfully be restricted, or makes browsing the website consent to optional tracking or marketing.
Questions about a product, an order, a return or a proposed workshop project can be sent to the email above. Give the order reference if available, a clear description of the issue and the outcome you are requesting. Do not send payment-card security codes, passwords or unnecessary sensitive information.
2. Website information and appropriate use
Blacklight Performance presents motorcycle-related products, workshop enquiries and information for riders. Information about performance, handling or preparation is general unless we expressly provide a recommendation for a particular motorcycle and agreed use. A website photograph, headline or enquiry topic is not a guarantee of compatibility, a measurable performance gain or an available appointment.
You must use the site lawfully and not interfere with its security or operation. Do not attempt unauthorised account access, submit malicious files, impersonate another person, scrape private customer data or send fraudulent orders. We may restrict access reasonably where necessary to protect the service or investigate misuse. A restriction must not prevent the lawful exercise of customer rights or access to necessary transaction information; contact us if you need assistance.
We aim to keep information accurate, but an obvious error does not justify charging a customer a different amount without agreement. If a material error affects an order, we will explain it and seek an agreed correction or cancellation with the appropriate refund. Changes to general website text do not retrospectively alter the terms of an accepted purchase.
3. Accounts and optional Google sign-in
Provide accurate account and delivery information and keep login credentials confidential. You are responsible for activity you authorise, but this does not remove our responsibility for the security obligations applicable to our service. Notify us if you suspect unauthorised access. Do not create an account in another person's name without authority.
Google sign-in is an optional authentication method using basic identity permissions: openid, email and profile. It does not give us access to Gmail, Drive or Calendar content through the currently configured sign-in feature, and it does not subscribe you to marketing. Use of Google's account and authentication service is subject to Google's terms and policies. Our use of information received through it is described in the Privacy Policy.
You may revoke a Google connection using your Google Account connections settings. Revocation is not an order cancellation, refund request or automatic deletion of retained transaction records. Contact us if you need another way to access relevant account information or wish to request account deletion. No one should ask you to disclose your Google password to Blacklight Performance.
4. Product descriptions and motorcycle compatibility
Read the item description, specifications, model/year fitment information and any road-use or installation limitations before ordering. Provide the exact motorcycle details where compatibility depends on them. Similar appearance or a shared model name does not establish that a component fits every production year, market specification or modified motorcycle.
If fitment is uncertain, ask before purchase. Any recommendation depends on the information provided and the scope of our assessment. Incorrect information can affect the recommendation, but these terms do not remove the seller's obligation to supply goods conforming to their description or any specific purpose accepted as part of the contract.
Some components may require professional fitting, calibration or additional compatible parts. Any restriction described for the product must be considered before installation. A third-party brand appearing in a product description identifies that product or compatibility reference; it does not by itself represent manufacturer authorisation or a partnership with Blacklight Performance.
5. Prices, taxes and order information
The price and currency applicable to your purchase must be displayed before you place an order. For consumer purchases, the total payable must clearly identify applicable taxes and any delivery or other compulsory charges. Optional extras must not be added without your express agreement. If a price is only an estimate, that must be made clear before you commit.
Available payment methods are those shown at the actual checkout or expressly agreed in writing. We do not promise a payment method merely because a platform can support it. A workshop deposit, special-order charge or other advance payment must have its amount, purpose and relevant cancellation treatment disclosed before you pay; these terms do not create a universal non-refundable deposit.
Keep the order confirmation and invoice. Contact us promptly if a confirmation does not match your order. A payment authorisation or automated acknowledgement alone is not a promise of immediate dispatch or a confirmed workshop slot. Order acceptance and any fulfilment limitation must be communicated clearly in the order process or written confirmation.
6. Availability, delivery and collection
Delivery locations, costs, estimated times and any collection arrangements must be provided before purchase or separately agreed where an item cannot be priced automatically. We do not advertise a universal free-shipping offer, dispatch deadline or worldwide delivery entitlement through these terms. Do not assume that a product photograph establishes stock availability.
If an accepted item becomes unavailable or a significant delay arises, we will inform you and explain the available options. We will not substitute a materially different item without your agreement. Unless otherwise agreed, goods must be delivered within the applicable legal timeframe; where the law provides a right to require performance or terminate for late delivery, that right is preserved.
For consumer deliveries, risk generally passes when you or a person you nominate, other than the carrier, obtains physical possession, subject to applicable exceptions. A carrier delay or damage report does not automatically transfer the seller's legal responsibilities to the customer. Inspect the parcel and inform us of damage, missing items or an apparent mismatch so that we can investigate. A short notification request does not extinguish statutory remedies if a problem is discovered later.
7. Cancelling an order before fulfilment
If you wish to cancel an order, email [email protected] promptly with the order reference. We will check whether it has been dispatched, whether work has begun and what legal cancellation rights apply. If shipment has already occurred, the return or withdrawal procedure may apply instead. We do not charge an undisclosed cancellation penalty.
Made-to-order goods and work started at a customer's express request can have different legal treatment, as explained below. An item is not exempt from withdrawal merely because it was ordered from a supplier or is not normally held in stock. Any applicable exemption must have a lawful basis and be explained before the contract is concluded.
8. Consumer right of withdrawal for distance purchases
Where you are a consumer buying at a distance and no lawful exception applies, you normally have 14 calendar days to withdraw without giving a reason. For goods, the period generally begins when you or your nominated recipient obtains possession. Different rules apply to multiple deliveries and service contracts. Missing legally required withdrawal information can extend the period under applicable law.
To exercise withdrawal, send a clear statement before the deadline to [email protected] or the business postal address in section 1. Include your name, contact details, order reference, the goods or service concerned and the date received if relevant. You may use the model notice below, but it is not compulsory. You do not need our discretionary approval to exercise a valid statutory right.
After notifying withdrawal, return the goods without undue delay and normally within 14 days. Ask us for practical return instructions so that the parcel is routed correctly, but obtaining a return reference is not a condition that can defeat a valid legal right. The business address is available for written notices; confirm parcel-receiving arrangements before dispatching a bulky or valuable item.
You bear direct return costs only where we informed you before purchase that you would do so and the law permits it. If that information was not provided, we bear those costs. Where goods cannot normally be returned by post, the required return-cost information must be provided before purchase. Defective or non-conforming goods are handled separately and are not treated as discretionary change-of-mind returns.
9. Return condition and refunds
For ordinary change-of-mind returns, keep goods in new condition, with accessories and packaging where practical. Do not fit, ride with or materially alter a component simply to test it. However, a statutory withdrawal right is not automatically lost because packaging has been opened. You may examine goods as necessary to establish their nature, characteristics and functioning. A lawful deduction may apply for diminished value caused by handling beyond that examination, rather than an automatic refusal of the entire return.
Following a valid withdrawal, we reimburse the payments required by law, including the cost of standard outbound delivery, without undue delay and normally within 14 days after notification. An additional cost chosen for premium delivery need not be reimbursed. For goods, reimbursement may be withheld until the goods are received or you provide evidence of their return, whichever occurs first, where permitted. Refunds use the original payment method unless another method is expressly agreed without cost to you.
A refund for faulty goods, an incorrect item or another legal remedy is not restricted to “new and unused” condition. Such goods may need to be used before a fault can reasonably be detected. We will assess the appropriate remedy under consumer law rather than apply a blanket no-return rule to fitted components.
10. Exceptions and services begun during the withdrawal period
Withdrawal exceptions can apply to goods genuinely made to your specifications or clearly personalised, and to certain sealed goods where a statutory hygiene exception genuinely applies after unsealing. An exception must be legally relevant to the product and disclosed; we do not treat all motorcycle parts, electronic components or special orders as automatically exempt.
For services, if you expressly request performance during the withdrawal period, we must provide the relevant information and obtain the required express request. If you then withdraw before full performance, a proportionate payment may be due for the service actually supplied, subject to the legal conditions. The withdrawal right can be lost following full performance only where the required prior consent and acknowledgement were properly obtained. Merely sending a workshop enquiry does not amount to that request or acknowledgement.
Emergency repairs and additional goods or work can have specific legal rules. We will not use an emergency exception to cover unrelated additional work. Your mandatory rights take priority over any inconsistent wording in a quotation or order note.
11. Faults, conformity and guarantees
Goods must conform to the contract, description and applicable legal standards. Statutory remedies for non-conforming goods are separate from a manufacturer's commercial warranty and from a change-of-mind return. Where Spanish consumer law applies to new goods, the seller's statutory conformity responsibility normally extends to three years from delivery, subject to the applicable legal rules and the nature of the transaction.
Depending on the circumstances, remedies can include repair, replacement, a proportionate price reduction or termination and reimbursement. The appropriate remedy and any lawful limitations depend on the problem and applicable law; a manufacturer-only referral does not replace the seller's obligations. Necessary conformity remedies must not impose costs that the law requires the seller to bear.
Report a problem with the order reference, a description and any useful photographs. Do not continue using an unsafe component or dismantle it unnecessarily. We may reasonably need to inspect it, but these terms do not require you to waive statutory rights, accept store credit instead of an applicable refund or fund a legally required remedy.
12. Workshop scope, estimates and authorisation
A website enquiry is not a confirmed appointment or an agreement to carry out every suggested service. Before work, the motorcycle, intended use, relevant history, requested scope, price or estimating basis and availability should be agreed. Tell us about existing modifications, symptoms and any known issues relevant to the work. Bring or send only information necessary to assess the request.
Diagnostic work, fitting, parts sourcing and any additional labour must be distinguished in the agreed scope. If inspection reveals a need for materially different or additional work, we should explain it and obtain your approval before proceeding, except where a lawful and expressly agreed arrangement provides otherwise. We do not impose an unlimited authority to replace parts or exceed a budget merely because a motorcycle has been left with us.
Any inspection, test ride, transport, storage charge, collection deadline or charge for dismantling must be addressed in the relevant agreement where applicable. No undisclosed storage penalty or automatic disposal of a motorcycle is created by these website terms. An estimate is not a guarantee of a performance result; if a result is expressly promised, that promise is assessed as part of the contract rather than excluded by general wording here.
13. Road use, competition and technical safety
Road and closed-course requirements can differ. A part suitable for competition may not be approved for road use. Before modifications, consider registration and inspection requirements, noise and emissions rules, insurer notification and the conditions of any manufacturer warranty. These terms do not certify every product as road-legal or imply that a modification automatically cancels every warranty entitlement.
Use a motorcycle and its components in accordance with applicable law, manufacturer instructions and appropriate maintenance. Installation affecting braking, steering, suspension, fuel systems or other safety-critical functions should be undertaken by a competent person. Never rely on a photograph or a general marketing statement as a safety assessment for your motorcycle.
Performance depends on the motorcycle, configuration, condition, rider, environment and intended use. We do not promise a universal horsepower increase, lap-time improvement or racing success. “Precision. Performance. Purpose.” expresses the brand's approach, not a numerical guarantee or an instruction to use a motorcycle unlawfully.
14. Images, intellectual property and external links
Our branding, website design and original content are protected by applicable intellectual-property rights. You may view and retain necessary information for personal use and your transactions. Do not reproduce our logo, photographs or substantial content commercially without permission or an applicable legal right. Rights in third-party brands and photography belong to their respective owners.
Some motorcycle photographs are third-party imagery used to communicate the website's subject and visual direction. They do not establish that a pictured motorcycle, facility or project belongs to Blacklight Performance, that its owner is a customer, or that its manufacturer endorses us. Product specifications and the agreed transaction information, not a general lifestyle image, determine what is supplied. Unsplash API photography is hotlinked and credited through the relevant photographer and Unsplash links.
External websites, including Google and photography providers, have their own terms and privacy practices. A link is not an unconditional endorsement, and we do not control changes made by another operator. This does not exclude responsibility for statements we ourselves make about a linked service.
15. Liability and mandatory rights
We are responsible for obligations imposed by applicable law and the contracts we accept. Nothing here excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful, including mandatory consumer protections and liability that cannot legally be excluded for intentional conduct, negligence or personal injury.
You are responsible for accurate information, appropriate lawful use and reasonable steps to avoid unnecessary loss. That does not make you responsible for a product's existing defect or excuse inadequate work. Any assessment of loss, causation and remedies must follow applicable law. These terms do not impose a blanket “use at your own risk” waiver for defective goods or negligent workshop work.
Website interruptions can occur. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access, but necessary order or complaint communications can be made by email or post. A website outage does not erase a purchase, extinguish withdrawal rights or make a lawful complaint invalid.
16. Complaints, applicable law and updates
Send complaints to [email protected], identifying the transaction and requested resolution. We will review the matter and communicate the next steps. You retain the right to seek assistance from competent consumer authorities and pursue applicable judicial or other legal remedies. We do not claim membership in an arbitration scheme that has not been established.
Spanish law applies where appropriate, without depriving consumers of mandatory protections that apply under the relevant conflict-of-law rules. We do not require a consumer to use an exclusive Marbella court where mandatory jurisdiction rules provide another competent court. Business-to-business arrangements may contain additional written provisions where lawful and agreed.
We may update website terms for future use and transactions. The edition and specific terms agreed for an existing order remain relevant; a later website change does not automatically vary it. If one provision is invalid, the remaining provisions apply only insofar as lawful, without replacing it with a restriction that would undermine protected rights.
17. Model withdrawal notice and customer contact
You may copy the following notice into an email or letter:
